We have served both Goochland and Randolph Elementary Schools in Goochland County since 1972.

We are a large pack dedicated to teaching boys family values, outdoor skills and the ability to make ethical choices through fun and exciting activities. Come join us for a great family oriented time!

Tiger Den - a Message from Mac

Good day Tiger Scouts and Parents,
Thanks to all who came out to support our local Fire Dept. and brought donations in for our Cub Scout Food Drive. Our next meeting will be on the 5th of March @ Randolph Elementary School starting at 6:30 pm. This will be your last chance for anything Pinewood Derby related.

Pinewood Derby Update

Scouts, get your engines revved up and ready to go for our annual Pinewood Derby next weekend! Cars need to be checked in on Friday at RES starting at 6:30 pm. Late check in is Saturday morning between 8 and 8:30. No cars will be checked in after 8:30! Races will start at 9 am.

Pinewood Derby Rules

The 2018 Pinewood Derby will start at 9:00am on Saturday March 10th at RES. Class B uniforms are appropriate. We ask all scouts to stay for the entire Derby (even if they don't win within their Den) to cheer on their Den's representative in the final race. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each Den and the Finale. We will also have awards for the best car design in each Den.

Winter Overnight

If you would like to attend the Winter Overnight at the Virginia Museum of Natural History on Saturday, March 24th - and have not yet signed up - please sign up with Michael Smith during the Pack meeting on Monday March 5th. The cost is $35 per scout (free for scouts with 3 popcorn SNS) and $25 per adult. Cost includes pizza dinner Saturday, snack, and light breakfast Sunday morning.

Spring Camping Trip 5/4 - 5/5

Mark your calendars!!! Our Spring Camping Trip is scheduled for May 4th and 5th at Dundo Campground at Shenandoah National Park. With an early spring in the air, the park should be in full canopy and the hiking trails perfect. As with last year - costs will be $15 per person with a maximum of $60 per family to cover the cost of the campsite, three meals on Saturday, and light breakfast Sunday morning when breaking down camp.

Pit Crew Volunteers Needed!

One reporter wrote, "It’s hard to explain how experiencing NASCAR’s infield can completely change a person’s understanding the sport. The garage and pit road transform from areas that were once shown in passing by television broadcasts and squinted at through binoculars, to private windows into the inner workings of racing. Pit road, the garage, and the spotters stand can be even more fascinating than the racing itself. Those places where the preparatory work and the behind-the-scenes stuff happens—where the crews jump out in front of 50-mph race cars and try not to get hit, where the teams make adjustments and repairs to the cars, and where the eyes in the sky tell drivers when there are other cars around them or gaining time..."
