You may have heard BSA is recalling all neckerchief slides purchased this year. There is concern over the paint used on the product.
For all scouts (other than AOL), please bring your slides in on Monday. We will have a bucket to collect them. When BSA gets the new shipment in, we will swap them out and get you a new slide.
We'd love to get get a good idea on our final number for the fall campout. Right now four families have signed up. We need to know on food purchasing and releasing extra campsites we may have booked. We are headed to Chippokes Plantation State Park (695 Chippokes Park Rd, Surry, VA 23883) on Friday, September 27th through Sunday, September 29th. The $20 fee covers the campsite, three Saturday meals, and Sunday breakfast. Most people arrive on Friday evening but you are welcome to join us at any point during the weekend. More information about what to pack will be provided after you sign up. If you are larger than a family of four, you do not pay over $80. If you have any questions please reach out to Cubmaster Rick Woolard at rick.woolard@dominionenergy.com.
